The British Business Excellence Awards is the elite business awards programme for businesses. The awards host a year-long programme of networking events, round tables and exemplary judging processes, all of which will then culminate in a spectacular awards ceremony on Tuesday 8 November 2022 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
Hundreds of companies entered the prestigious national awards, hoping to be recognised for their hard work, innovation and success.
GPG’s nomination was based on its key achievements over the past year. In particular, the group’s customer acquisition and driving the net zero agenda were mentioned as key elements of its success.
With over 30,000 business energy portfolios managed, the group accelerates the acquisition of new customers through its provision of value added services and net zero consultation.
In addition, growth has scaled into overseas territories, based on the successful template of the UK operation, Northern Gas and Power. As such, the business recently opened a new HQ facility on the Gateshead Quayside, investing £2m+ in four floors of Grade-A commercial property.
In Europe, Energies France (Paris) and the US, NGP Americas (Texas) strategically capitalise on deregulated markets, while the innovation hub ClearVUE.Business (Malta/India) and business energy price comparison website BusinessEnergyQuotes.com, push technology boundaries to improve consumer experience.
The group’s focus on net zero and sustainability was also central. GPG have developed advanced proprietary systems allowing businesses to monitor, measure and manage their energy more effectively in real-time through ClearVUE.Business. The platform offers insights that can be immediately acted upon, such as early alerts to energy waste and energy-usage anomalies.
David Bootle, Head of Strategic Partnerships, commented on the announcement: “Our mission is to secure a sustainable energy future for all our customers. Providing our expertise, technology and services to help businesses achieve their net zero goals is of paramount importance.
“The importance of creating a sustainable future for our planet cannot be overstated, and we have a vested interest in enabling our customers to play a positive part in tackling the climate emergency.”
Sarah Austin, Founder & Director of the British Business Excellence Awards, commented on the announcement: “Everyone involved with the British Business Excellence Awards is delighted by the sheer calibre of competition amongst the finalists this year. Each and every finalist should feel proud and accomplished at what is already a fantastic and commendable accomplishment.
“The British Business Excellence Awards prides itself on being the UK’s premier celebration of business, recognising resilience, innovation and all-round brilliance. The setting for the ceremony is truly show stopping, taking place at the fabulous Grosvenor Hotel in London.
